For here here, a project supported by a Creative Renewal grant from the Arts Council of Indianapolis, I take pictures and write poems in everyday places where people go like gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants, courthouses, schools and then print and (usually) frame them and hang them right where the photo was taken. I see this as a truly site-specific project that frames and highlights the beauty of the everyday world. It is about the here here.
I decided that it is best that the project be completed anonymously in the public with the hope that it will be mysterious and curious for people who notice the images and that people may even try it themselves. This website documents some of the images of the work once it is placed.
